Symptom assessments
Find out how soon your pain should be looked at
Four short assessments, each built around a different pattern of symptoms. Answer a handful of questions about what you are feeling and you will get a clear read on urgency, a written summary you can bring to an appointment, and a straight answer about what to do next. Including when that answer is that it can wait.

Choose an assessment
Back Pain For pain in the low or mid back, whether it stays put or travels.
Covers how long it has gone on, what makes it worse, and the warning
signs that change how quickly you should be seen. Start the assessment
Neck Pain For neck, shoulder, and arm symptoms. Includes the coordination changes
people rarely think to mention, like fumbling buttons or feeling
unsteady, which matter more in the neck than most patients expect. Start the assessment
Nerve Pain For burning, tingling, or numbness anywhere in the body. Nerve pain
comes from several very different places, so this one also points you
toward the kind of specialist best placed to evaluate it. Start the assessment
Sciatica For pain that runs from the back or buttock down into the leg. A lot of
leg pain gets called sciatica when it is coming from the hip or from
circulation instead, so this one sorts out which pattern yours fits. Start the assessment Not sure which one fits?
Go by where the trouble actually is, not by what you think is causing it.
- Pain in the low back that stays in the back Back Pain

What you get at the end
A read on urgency
Whether this is something to watch, book soon, or have seen today. Plenty of people finish and find out they can reasonably wait, which is a real answer.
A summary to bring with you
Everything you entered, written up in plain language and ready to copy. It saves repeating your history from memory in the exam room.
What a visit would cover
What an evaluation would actually involve for your particular pattern, and what to bring so nothing gets repeated without reason.
Would you rather just talk to someone?
These assessments are a starting point, not a diagnosis. If you already know you want to be seen, skip them and book. Same-day appointments are available.
These assessments are for general education. They do not diagnose a condition and do not replace an evaluation by a qualified clinician.
